WRITING A ONE ACT PLAY WITH RON DAY

WRITING, DRAWING AND ACTING IN ONE WORKSHOP:
This course will help students to create and perform a one-act play working in groups of two.

They will learn how to describe a location and write that as stage manager’s notes.

Next, they will create a story that can be told in one sitting and then build the characters the story needs. They will interview their characters so that they can learn how each character will act in any situation.

They will create a mask for the characters. At the end of the day, it will be acted out in front of the group.
